Is it OK to call dogs children?

Posted by Eileen on Sunday 11th February 2024 at 11:34:12
Dogs are constantly being referred to as "our children," "part of the family," "our fur-babies," and the likes. Sales of dog clothing, doggy-strollers etc are soaring. But is it true that dogs are equal to children? Didn't God say that man shall have dominion (superiority) over the animals? Genesis 1, 26-31. We can be kind to dogs without elevating them. In families where dogs are treated as equals, the dog may decide he's not equal - he's superior. This can manifest in domineering behaviour, for example, the dog sprawls across the owner's bed and refuses to move. It ignores the owner's commands and becomes unmanageable. Let's take charge of our dogs in case they take over the household. Read more on the topic here - https://breakpoint.org/ The article was: pets-arent-children-fur-babies.
