Wolves in sheep's clothing

Posted by Eileen on Sunday 4th February 2024 at 12:43:00
While taking the dog for a walk today, I saw a lady coming towards me with a small white dog on a lead. They were on the other side of the road. My own dog ignored it, but the other dog was pulling on the lead to get to us. I stopped and made conversation about the sweet little dog. To my surprise, the lady said her dog was vicious! She had recently got the dog from the SPCA and she was trying to socialise him.

It's a warning that we mustn't take dogs (or people) at face value. There are wolves in sheep's clothing. A dog (or person) can look as sweet and gentle as a lamb, but inwardly they can be as nasty and aggressive as wolves. This is especially true on the internet where folk make fake profiles. Let's pray for the gift of discernment before approaching strange dogs, and before trusting strangers.
