Roodewal Kennels - Breeders of Miniature Schnauzers

My dogs are my passion. I have been breeding top quality miniature schnauzers since 1984. It has been my aim to improve my stock as time goes on. I am proud of my Kennel, which has been named after the lovely farm I live on, in the Ermelo district, South Africa.
In May 1999, I received the call that every pilot's wife fears most.. that my aerobatic champion husband, Peter, and my 26 year old son, Charles had died in an aeroplane accident.
Well, no-one can even begin to imagine the pain, which ripped me apart! I did not think I would be able to carry on with life at all. I could manage the pain of losing Peter, but Charles! My beautiful young son!
After asking Jesus what I should do with my life I got a clear message... very clear indeed!... to extend my tent pens and continue to breed with the Miniature Schnauzers.
I do believe this has been my life saver.
I also believe I spread a lot of love through the pups. (at least my grandchildren love them!) At the same time I am providing much needed work and income for the people on the farm. Many of them have AIDS, the cruel disease which is so rampant where we live. You get to experience the consequences of it when you are close to people who have it.
I have a whole network of lovely schnauzer people now - people who correspond with me, send me photos, and communicate with me as a result of a pup bought from my kennel. My children tease me and say I have become the 'agony aunt' ... so many share their pain, their joys and their daily lives with me and it gives me an open opportunity to share Jesus' Love and compassion with others!
It is, and always will be EINA! But... somehow I've made it and I have the dogs, and best of all my children and granchildren to fill my world.

I regularly have pups, black, salt and pepper and black and silver. I personally have imported a number of dogs which I chose in England and Holland.

I export a number of pups a year and am thrilled that they seem to be doing well in their new countries with the new owners.
